a neighborhood hardware store by patrick l. at InsiderPages

Good service, a bit pricey on small items, but I live close, and the convenice makes up for it in these days of $4/gallon gas. Sunday hours are nice for last minute projects. The employees know the store layout well, and seem to be handymen themselves.

Variety of parts by M.D M. at InsiderPages

They have a variety of foreign and domestic parts. They buy wrecked and junked cars & trunks and if you take it there you can get a little more money than if they have to pick it up. They help you out almost as soon as you walk in the door. Lunch time can be a little bit busier at times. Prices for their parts are usually half or less than for new parts. I went to Homeowners Glass to see about getting a replacement pane for a window that was broken in my home. I was pleased with the courteous service and the knowledgeable staff. The estimate I received turned out to be higher than I planned on paying, but I ordered the glass anyway since I like the people and service so well. PROS: Freindly, educated staff. CONS: higher prices
