Rude, Incompetent and Over priced

Twice this year I've taken clothes out of the dry cleaner bag and found they had cut off fabric covered buttons and not sewn them back on. The first time I frantically had to find another formal dress for my event, but they found the buttons "in their vault" sewed them back on, handled the situation pleasantly enough, and I have continued to use them. This time the clerk was mean and nasty, telling me she needed to know which part of the fabric covered the button! I told her I was just asking for her to look for the button, and she said it had been long enough that the button wouldn't match the dress any more. I told her the dress was the same age as the button but she said their place is dusty and if they could find the button, it wouldn't match. I repeatedly asked that they just look for the button, but she sarcastically told me that unless I could tell her which part of the pattern on my dress was on the button she wouldn't be able to find it. It really would be foolish to continue to pay their prices, be treated rudely, and have my clothes come back from Highland Cleaners unfit to wear.

Voted Best of Louisville For a Reason

My parents used Highland all their lives, and now so do I and my two sisters. They have the best customer service and the nicest people, plus they are the absolute experts about dry cleaning. Time and time again they have "saved" items I thought were ruined with horrible stains. My husband loves the shirt laundry service.

I work in the office for Highland Cleaners and would like to attest to the facts that Highland Cleaners is constantly reinforcing to the counter staff that customer service is their top priority. We receive on a daily basis cards, calls or letters from customers stating that we have the best customer service and staff ever. "You make me appreciated and have reinforced why Highland Cleaners is such a successful business," writes one customer. Another writes, " The exemplary customer service and professional behavior truly provide a pleasant customer experience." The plant personnel, cleaners, pressers and quality control managers have been to several full-day seminars stressing the importance of quality service. Highland Cleaners strives to be the Best in both cleaning and customer service. All customers are treated with courtesy and respect. Problems do arise at times, but are always handled fairly and quickly.

wonderful service and professional cleaning

While at a buffet someone next to me spilled their plate of food on my new dress. Being new to the Forest Spring Neighborhood I asked a neighbor do you have a dry cleaner you would recommend?. Immediately she said Highland Cleaners in the shopping center with Kroger . Upon entering I was greeted by the store manager. I explained my situation. Samantha told me the it would be flagged for the food spots . Upon returning several days later she brought my dress up to the counter before I could even give my phone number or name. She told me that all the spots had come out of my new dress. The service and efficiency of this cleaners was excellent.

Worst Customer Service I have ever encountered

I took my favorite dress to Highland Cleaners because they tout themselves as the "best in Louisville" when the small Coca Cola stain did not come out the manager suggested I let them do a wet cleaning. She notified me there could be some risks, but in her personal opinion she would send it thru if it were hers and they don't usually have problems with that fabric. Well the dress is now ruined. All the colors blended like tie dye and it shrunk 2 dress sizes. Plus random fist size brown stains ended up in two large areas. Here is the bad part. They completely refuse to comp me in any way for a $150 dress that they ruined. The company pres herself, Mrs. Nash, told me it was essentially my fault for getting Coca Cola spilled on me in the first place. even though that stain was the size of a dime(which was also never removed), and they are not at all responsible for the way they handled my dress. So if a professional tells you they would do it in their own shop...think twice at Highland cleaners...they aren't responsible for a personal recomendation of their own manager.

SAM MYERS IS THE PLACE TO GO IN LOUISVILLE. THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD HAVE COMPED THE DRESS IMMEDIATELY
