There are art classes for children and adults, the owners are accessible and anything they *don't* have they can usually track down and get for you!

Just a quick note in response to the review mentioning the name Preston. It happens to be the name of the owner, a wonderful man, Don Preston. It is not the name of a street in Louisville Ky.

The store is well equipped, and Don and his wife work hard to obtain any item they may not carry.

I took a commercial art course in college and needed to buy a lot of art supplies. Preston Arts Center had everything that was on my list. The cost was higher than I thought it should be, but then I have never bought art supplies before. The people working in the store were great! They helped me find everything on my list. This store has everything, so they will probably have any art supply you are looking for. There were plenty of parking spaces close to the store.

The Preston Arts Center is rather deceptively named, since it's not on Preston and is located on Bardstown Road - I'm assuming it moved at some point. However, despite any confusion you might have finding the store, once you are there you will be very pleased.

As another review pointed out, there really isn't anywhere else in town to find such a great selection of art supplies. My niece is an artist, and I always go here to buy presents for her. She is always so excited to receive all the high quality products they carry. In addition, the staff IS really helpful. Since I'm not an artist, I usually need the help!
